Takoradi Chamber visits Kosmos Energy (Gh) Ltd

Members of the Takoradi Regional Chamber of Commerce & Industry an affiliate of the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce & Industry paid a courtesy call on the management of Kosmos Energy to officially welcome the company to the region. The Base Manager of Kosmos Energy, Mr Michael Dickson who met the delegation assured the business community that the oil find will bring business opportunities to the region and this includes fishing since most off-shore oil rigs create coral reefs which provide food for fish.

The implications of Oil find to businesses in Ghana

The President of the Chamber has set up a committee to study the implications of the oil find to bsinesses in Ghana. The study would include:

• The situation and implications for Ghanaian Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs).
• Identify possible business opportunities for SMEs
• Make recommendations for actions by the Chamber for the benefit of SME's
